PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ENGINEER A reputable real estate company based in Lusaka is seeking a competent and reliable Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of its properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and coordinating maintenance works, supervising repairs and ensuring that all properties are maintained to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Hands-on Maintenance and Supervision: Carry out and oversee maintenance and repair works across all company properties, ensuring that work is completed properly, safely and on time. Inspect buildings and identify maintenance requirements, including structural, plumbing, electrical and civil works. Coordinate and supervise contractors carrying out maintenance and repair works. Ensure the timely completion of maintenance tasks and adherence to required quality standards. Conduct routine property inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before they become major problems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, materials used and related costs, and prepare periodic reports. Assist with the procurement of maintenance materials, equipment and services. Monitor property infrastructure and systems to ensure safety, functionality and compliance with applicable building standards. Provide technical advice on maintenance, repairs and property improvement works. Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for company properties. Minimum Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering, Building/Construction, Property Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical field. Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in construction, property maintenance, facilities management or infrastructure works. Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and repair works. Demonstrated ability to supervise contractors and coordinate maintenance projects. Good organisational, planning and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability and willingness to undertake hands-on maintenance work where required. Valid Drivers License Key Competencies Strong technical and practical problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance requirements. Good communication and contractor coordination skills. Strong organisational and time-management skills. High level of integrity, responsibility and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent maintenance issues.
