Addoz Integrated Resources, on behalf of its client in the agro industry, is recruiting for the position of Cashier / Accounts Officer. The role is based in Ogijo (Ikorodu–Sagamu Axis), Ogun State, and is a full-time employment opportunity within the Accounting Jobs category in Nigeria.
Job Summary
Our client in the agro industry is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized Cashier / Accounts Officer to join their Finance and Accounts team. The ideal candidate should have 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in cashiering and basic accounting functions, with strong knowledge of cash handling, reconciliation, financial record-keeping, and general accounting procedures. Experience in the agro or manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and process cash, POS, bank transfers, and other forms of payment. Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions. Reconcile daily cash collections and ensure proper documentation. Prepare daily cash, sales, and transaction reports. Monitor and maintain accurate records of cash inflows and outflows. Ensure all payments and transactions are properly authorized and documented. Assist with bank deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions when required. Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies in cash or financial records. Maintain proper filing of receipts, payment records, and other financial documents. Support the Accounts team with routine accounting, reconciliation, and administrative duties. Assist with other finance-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Possess an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in cashiering, accounting, or a similar finance-related role. Good knowledge of cash handling, reconciliation, basic accounting procedures, and financial record-keeping. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/POS software. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy, honesty, integrity, and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the agro or manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 monthly.
