PIN’s initiatives span countries including Haiti, Peru, Guatemala, Mexico, Russia, Rwanda, Lesotho, Malawi, Burundi, Kazakhstan, the Dominican Republic, and Boston. In Rwanda, PIN collaborates closely with the Government of Rwanda through its sister organization, Input Mu Burma (IMB), to fortify public health systems in rural and marginalized districts. PIN’s work in Rwanda encompasses comprehensive healthcare services across non-communicable diseases (NCDs), oncology, surgery, and reproductive, maternal, neonatal, adolescent, and child health (RMN ACH). Rwinkwavu serves as a critical hub for NCD and surgical services, while Irene district is a central focus for reproductive and maternal health programs. The NCD & RMN ACH Research Manager will be primarily stationed in Rwinkwavu, with regular travel to Irene district, where they will spearhead research initiatives across both NCD and RMN ACH portfolios. Focused on advancing NCD research, this role demands rigorous scientific leadership to ensure high standards in study design, implementation, and integration with clinical and programmatic teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, exceptional scientific writing capabilities, and a proven track record of managing comprehensive research projects from inception to dissemination. Additionally, the position involves mentoring junior researchers and clinical staff involved in research, as well as overseeing quality improvement (QI) initiatives across both program areas.
