FAWEZA is recruiting a Senior Programmes Officer – Entrepreneurship and Graduate Employability for its National Secretariat Office in Lusaka. The position reports to the Programmes Manager and is offered on a three-year contract. POSITION PURPOSE Lead and coordinate entrepreneurship and employability pathways that help young women and marginalised youth move from skills development into sustainable livelihoods, decent employment or resilient enterprises. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build partnerships with organisations offering internships and employment
- Maintain databases of employers, opportunities and graduate beneficiaries
- Match graduates to internships and coordinate placement, onboarding and follow-up
- Deliver career-readiness sessions covering CVs, applications, interviews and workplace skills
- Facilitate mentorship, networking and workplace exposure
- Support aspiring entrepreneurs with business ideas, planning, mentors, markets and financing links
- Organise career fairs, employer meetings and entrepreneurship activities
- Track graduates’ transitions into employment, further training or entrepreneurship
- Maintain programme records and prepare monitoring and outcome reports COMPETENCIES
- Strong networking, partnership-building, communication and negotiation skills
- Good understanding of graduate employment and entrepreneurship challenges
- Strong organisation, coordination, mentoring and facilitation skills
- Computer literacy and the ability to maintain records and write quality reports
Proactive, creative and results-oriented approach QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Human Resources, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field
Expérience
- 3–5 years’ relevant experience in entrepreneurship development, graduate employability, internship coordination, recruitment, career development, youth programmes or private-sector engagement
- Experience building and maintaining employer and stakeholder relationships
- Experience organising career-development, mentorship, entrepreneurship or networking activities
- Experience in beneficiary tracking, programme monitoring and report writing
- NGO or development-organisation experience is an added advantage
