Job Description We are in search of a dependable, self-motivated, and safety-focused individual to join our team. Biker/Delivery Rider We seek a motivated individual to become part of our operations team. This position is essential for facilitating swift, secure, and efficient delivery of goods and documents along local routes. With a company-supplied motorcycle, the ideal candidate will contribute significantly to upholding superior service standards, precise route execution, and enhanced client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Safe Delivery Operations: Navigate local routes with precision to guarantee prompt, accurate, and secure deliveries to client and business destinations. Vehicle Care & Maintenance: Operate and maintain the company-issued motorcycle while adhering rigorously to all applicable road safety regulations, performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on a daily basis. Package Integrity & Verification: Confirm the specifics of each delivery, ensure parcels are handled with caution to minimize the risk of loss or damage, and secure the appropriate proof of delivery upon completion of handover. Communication & Coordination: Maintain professional, timely, and transparent communication with dispatchers, managers, and clients to provide updates on order statuses or any route delays. Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with all company safety protocols, navigation guidelines, road traffic regulations, and mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) standards. Record Keeping: Maintain precise records—whether physical or digital—of completed deliveries, fuel consumption, mileage, and routine operational tasks on a daily basis. Incident Reporting: Promptly notify management of any traffic incidents, vehicle malfunctions, or customer service concerns. Professional Rewriting: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience: Licensing & Identity: Must possess Zambian citizenship and hold a valid Zambian Driver’s License, which must include appropriate motorcycle endorsements. Experience: A minimum of two to three years of hands-on, professional riding experience is required. Education: Holders of a completed Grade 12 Certificate must possess a minimum of five (5) credits, with English and Mathematics included among these credits. Equipment: A company-provided motorbike will be supplied for use during the role. Route Knowledge: Proven ability to efficiently navigate local urban routes, including residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, and alternative shortcuts. Personal Attributes A strong commitment to responsibility, unwavering integrity, and consistent reliability are essential attributes for this role. Possesses a robust capacity for spatial orientation and strategic route planning. Consistently punctual and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, demonstrating discipline and reliability in all tasks. Effective communication skills, both verbally and interpersonally, are essential for this role. Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in cargo handling procedures and document verification processes.
