The NCD and RMN ACH Research Manager is a Grade 4A position based in Rwinkwavu, with cross-site responsibilities and reporting to the Director of the NCD Program. This role oversees Data Collectors, Junior NCD and RMN ACH Researchers, and plays a pivotal part in advancing Partners In Health (PIN), a Boston-based non-profit dedicated to delivering equitable healthcare to underserved populations globally. With programs in Haiti, Peru, Guatemala, Mexico, Russia, Rwanda, Lesotho, Malawi, Burundi, Kazakhstan, the Dominican Republic, and Boston, PIN collaborates in Rwanda through Input Mu Burma (IMB) to strengthen public health systems in rural and marginalized communities. PIN’s Rwanda initiatives focus on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), oncology, surgery, and reproductive, maternal, neonatal, adolescent, and child health (RMN ACH), with Rwinkwavu serving as a hub for NCD and surgical services and Irene District as a center for reproductive and maternal health. While primarily based in Rwinkwavu, this role requires regular travel to Irene District to lead and manage research across NCD and RMN ACH portfolios, ensuring scientific excellence, rigorous implementation, and seamless collaboration with clinical and programmatic teams. The Research Manager will drive high-impact research with expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches, alongside exceptional scientific writing and project leadership—from study design to dissemination. They will mentor junior researchers and clinical staff, foster research capacity within IMB, and oversee quality improvement (QI) initiatives that align with programmatic goals. Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing research projects, developing protocols and data tools, ensuring ethical compliance and data security, and supervising field teams and research coordinators. Additionally, they will lead manuscript development, reports, policy briefs, and grant proposals, present findings to stakeholders, and translate research into actionable strategies for health system strengthening. Qualifications include an advanced degree in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Global Health, Social Science, or a related field, along with at least five years of full-time research experience, preferably in
