Social Services & Nonprofit, Business Operations, Admin & Office, Farming & Outdoors Description Give Directly (GD) is seeking a Field Officer to serve as a vital day-to-day contributor in the execution of its gold-standard cash transfer program for both donors and recipients. This role involves conducting and supporting a diverse range of field activities, tailored to the specific team assignment and organizational priorities at any given time. Central to the position is the responsibility for administering recipient surveys and overseeing related processes that underpin GD’s distinctive cash transfer framework. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong operational decision-making, a dedication to excellence, exceptional communication abilities, and an unwavering commitment to GD’s mission and operational model. The position reports directly to the Associate Field Manager, providing operational support and ensuring alignment with field strategies to drive team performance and achieve organizational objectives. This role involves close collaboration with leadership to implement field initiatives, monitor progress, and address any challenges that may arise. Responsibilities include executing directives from the Associate Field Manager, maintaining clear communication channels, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of field operations. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Core duties vary by team, encompassing a range of specialized tasks tailored to each department’s objectives. The census team is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating accurate population data to support government planning, resource allocation, and policymaking initiatives. Team members must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data management software, as well as the ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines. Responsibilities include designing survey instruments, conducting fieldwork, verifying collected data, and preparing comprehensive reports to ensure data integrity. Candidates should have a background in statistics, demography, or a related field, along with experience in large-scale data collection projects. Offer cell phones to employees as required to support their roles effectively. Ensure that at least one member of the household is available and able to receive incoming calls to facilitate transfers. Proactively review applications to detect and remove households that do not meet the eligibility criteria, ensuring compliance with program requirements and preventing improper disbursements. Utilize digital tools to conduct surveys, ensuring the collection of precise and reliable data throughout the process. Reinforce awareness of Give Directly’s program among eligible households by clearly communicating key details and benefits. Explain safety protocols and preparedness measures to recipients to ensure compliance and awareness. Ensure that at least one member of the household is available to answer incoming calls and facilitate financial transfers. Review existing records to pinpoint households that no longer meet eligibility criteria and take necessary steps to remove them from the system. We are seeking a diligent individual to manage our follow-up team, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking client interactions, resolving inquiries, and maintaining accurate records of all follow-up activities. Proficiency in CRM software and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Prior experience in a customer service or follow-up capacity is preferred. Conduct follow-up surveys by either calling or visiting recipients to administer a survey, ensuring the confirmation of transfer receipt and gathering data to enhance the program while identifying any challenges faced by recipients. Answer incoming calls promptly, addressing inquiries and concerns from callers with professionalism and efficiency, while escalating issues beyond your scope to the appropriate team member for resolution. For individuals who have not completed mobile money registration or who registered using incorrect personal details, reach out to them via phone or in-person visits to guide them through the correct registration process. Adverse events case management involves the identification, reporting, and escalation of such incidents to the team leader. These events may include intra-household conflict, rumors regarding Give Directly, or reports of bribery, among other examples. A Field Officer will be assigned to one of the organization’s teams based on current operational requirements. Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a similar role. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and excellent communication abilities are essential. Prior experience in project management and a track record of delivering results within tight deadlines are highly desirable. Knowledge of industry-specific software and methodologies is preferred. Fluency in Lulamogi is essential, while proficiency in Lug were is required. Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Individuals should possess a minimum of one year of professional experience within the humanitarian sector to be considered for this role. Proficient in data entry for both computer and mobile platforms, with hands-on experience using tools such as Comm care, Salesforce, and the Google Suite package.
