Job Description JOB PURPOSE The Program Intern will support program operations and the execution of assigned tasks and activities at the Country Office level or Elector Zambia, an organization with which AMREF Health Africa in Zambia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Reporting directly to the Partnerships Lead at Elector Zambia, the Intern will also provide administrative support to the Project Manager overseeing the Africa Health Collaborative (AHC) project at AMREF Health Africa in Zambia. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the strategic planning and execution of project initiatives to ensure alignment with established objectives and timelines. Assist in developing and updating work plans and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with project objectives. Engage in capacity-building initiatives, conduct field visits, and attend meetings with pertinent partners and stakeholders to foster and enhance collaborative networks and alliances. Support the execution of regular monitoring and evaluation tasks as part of established processes. Provide support in the organization and facilitation of scheduled project review meetings and oversight activities in collaboration with local stakeholders. Prepare and submit project reports on a periodic basis—such as monthly and quarterly—for both internal reviews and external stakeholders in a timely manner. Facilitate the identification and engagement of strategic partners, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, corporate entities, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Support in the preparation of proposals, concept notes, and partnership documents. Perform preliminary market research and identify key stakeholders. We facilitate the organization and management of meetings, health initiatives, and community engagement efforts. Facilitate the organization of online consultations and patient referrals as needed. Facilitate the seamless integration of healthcare providers onto the platform. Assist with the organization and oversight of appointment scheduling and subsequent follow-up actions.
