The key purpose The primary responsibility of this position involves managing, sustaining, and enhancing the performance of plant machinery and related systems to guarantee operational availability and product excellence. Additionally, the role entails overseeing the upkeep of equipment and process control systems within a manufacturing environment, as well as performing routine maintenance and diagnostic procedures on measurement and control instruments. Key roles and responsibilities : Adhere to established safety, health, and environmental protocols as well as all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. Uphold rigorous safety protocols and maintain impeccable housekeeping standards across all designated areas. Identify and obtain plant, equipment, spares, and associated documentation systems. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to develop and execute comprehensive strategies for job preparation and execution. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, structuring, and implementation of job-related tasks to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating resources, managing timelines, and ensuring all job requirements are met efficiently and effectively. Ideal candidates must possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in project management tools, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. A proven track record in similar roles and a deep understanding of job preparation processes are essential. Perform repair and maintenance tasks diligently to ensure optimal functionality and longevity of equipment or systems. Continuously enhance plant operations, process equipment, and system functionalities to achieve optimal efficiency and productivity. Communicate effectively in teams Facilitate both personal and team growth through active participation in professional development initiatives and collaborative learning opportunities. Implement and maintain 5S methodologies and principles within the operational environment to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Execute all operational processes in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, efficient, and safe execution of assigned tasks. Engage in and mentor autonomous operational activities to ensure optimal performance and adherence to established protocols. Support quality at source We aim to enhance individual proficiency and adaptability. Employ loss and waste analysis along with short interval control techniques to proactively detect and address operational issues. Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies to address and resolve situational challenges effectively. Profile: With a minimum of one to two years of hands-on experience as an Artisan in either Mechanical or Electrical disciplines, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team. Grade 12 Diploma/Certificate in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering. Certified member of EIZ Minimum two to three months of on-the-job training is required. Instrumentation equipment maintenance Individuals should possess relevant prior experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector to qualify for this position.
