FRONT OFFICE PORTER Location: Mika Hotels, Lusaka Mika Convention Center is seeking a professional, courteous, and energetic Front Office Porter to join our Front Office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service by assisting with luggage handling, escorting guests, and ensuring a warm welcome and smooth departure experience. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage. Escort guests to their rooms and explain room facilities and hotel amenities. Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out. Provide guests with directions and information about the hotel and nearby attractions. Ensure the lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas are clean and organized. Coordinate with the Front Office team to ensure prompt guest service. Assist in receiving and delivering guest messages, parcels, and other items. Respond promptly to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner. Support the Front Office team with other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Grade 12 School Certificate. Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field will be an added advantage. Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Physically fit and able to lift and carry luggage. Honest, reliable, and able to work under minimal supervision. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Customer-focused attitude. Good problem-solving skills. BARMAN Location: Mika Hotels , Lusaka Mika Convention Center is inviting applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and customer-oriented individuals to fill the position of Barman . The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism within the bar. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and service standards. Welcome guests and provide friendly, efficient, and professional service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, equipment, and glassware. Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Bar Supervisor or Food and Beverage Manager. Ensure proper storage and handling of beverages. Process customer orders accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash and other payment methods in accordance with company procedures. Verify the legal drinking age of guests where applicable. Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Assist with stock taking and inventory control. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Grade 12 School Certificate. Certificate or Diploma in Food and Beverage Service, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Barman/Bartender in a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality establishment. Knowledge of beverage preparation, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and bar operations. Experience using a Point of Sale (POS) system will be an added advantage. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Competencies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
