JOB VACANCY – K9 HANDLER Dogtech Security Services Ltd Position: K9 Handler Location: Dogtech Kennel Base & Client Sites (Zambia) Dogtech Security Services Ltd is seeking disciplined, physically fit, and dedicated K9 Handlers to join our professional K9 Operations Team. The successful candidates will be responsible for handling and deploying trained security dogs to protect client properties while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare, professionalism, and security operations. Key Responsibilities Handle and work with assigned security K9 during daily operational duties. Conduct daily obedience, control, and maintenance training with assigned K9. Patrol client premises with K9 in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures. Detect and report suspicious activity, security breaches, and incidents. Maintain complete control of the K9 at all times. Ensure the health, welfare, feeding, grooming, and cleanliness of the assigned K9. Clean and maintain kennels, equipment, vehicles, and all issued gear. Complete all required patrol reports, occurrence reports, and K9 activity records. Attend regular K9 training sessions, assessments, and refresher courses. Ensure compliance with all Dogtech policies and client requirements. Maintain high standards of discipline, integrity, and customer service. Perform any other lawful duties assigned by Management. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 School Certificate. Minimum age of 20 years. Maximum age of 40 years. Physically fit and medically capable of working long shifts. No criminal record. Excellent discipline and reliability. Good English communication and report-writing skills. Ability to work day or night shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Comfortable working with aggressive working dogs. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Security Guard. Security training certificate. Added Advantage. Valid First Aid Certificate. Military, Police, Correctional Service, or Wildlife Authority experience will be an added advantage. Personal Attributes Honest and trustworthy. Strong work ethic. Excellent physical stamina.
