SWIMMING POOL ATTENDANTS – 2 POSITIONS

Job Location : Mpale Cultural Village - Mangochi Department : Operations Reporting to : Pool Supervisor / Operations Executive Grade CS 9 Job Summary: The Swimming Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment at the swimming pool area. This includes ensuring the pool’s cleanliness, monitoring pool users for safety compliance, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with pool maintenance operations. Key Responsibilities: Greet guests courteously and ensure a welcoming atmosphere at the pool area. Enforce all pool rules and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of guests. Monitor pool area to prevent accidents and provide assistance when needed. Maintain cleanliness and order around the pool deck, changing rooms, and lounging areas. Report any maintenance or safety issues (e.g., broken equipment, water quality concerns) to the supervisor promptly. Check and maintain pool supplies such as towels, loungers, and umbrellas. Assist with pool water testing and record-keeping as directed. Support lifeguards and other staff in emergency response situations.

Formation / Diplômes

Provide information about pool schedules, events, and facilities to guests. Ensure proper storage and inventory of pool equipment and materials. Uphold hygiene and sanitation standards as per health and safety regulations.

MSCE certificate. Prior experience in hospitality, recreation, or pool operations is an advantage. Basic knowledge of swimming pool safety and maintenance procedures.

Strong communication and customer service skills. Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods. Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies. Certification in First Aid, CPR, or Lifeguarding is a plus. Work Conditions: Work may involve exposure to sun, humidity, and pool chemicals.
