Background ACO DEP is currently seeking candidates for a transformative multi-sectoral initiative aimed at advancing women’s involvement in environmental peace building, climate action, GBV/SGBV prevention, human rights protection, and environmental justice. The position involves providing expert guidance and support to agricultural communities to enhance productivity, sustainability, and profitability. Responsibilities include disseminating research-based knowledge, organizing training sessions, and offering technical assistance on modern farming techniques, crop management, and pest control. The role requires a degree in agriculture or a related field, along with proven experience in extension services or rural development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to engage effectively with farmers, cooperatives, and local stakeholders. Additionally, the ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and implement extension programs is crucial for driving positive agricultural outcomes. Two one-year contract positions are offered, with the possibility of renewal upon satisfactory completion of the initial term. JOB SUMMARY Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to drive organizational success. Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance efficiency, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and uphold high standards of quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives, streamline workflows, and foster innovation across departments. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutions to optimize outcomes. Lead initiatives that support employee development, training, and retention while cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous growth. Represent the organization in external engagements, including partnerships, negotiations, and stakeholder communications, to strengthen its reputation and market position. Deliver comprehensive agricultural extension and advisory services to support farmers in optimizing their practices and enhancing productivity. Provide instruction and guidance to local communities on implementing sustainable and climate-smart agricultural techniques. Provide assistance to agricultural collectives and community-driven farming programs. Promote the conservation of soil, water, and other vital natural resources. Facilitate the implementation and adoption of enhanced agricultural technologies and methodologies to drive productivity and sustainability. Perform on-site assessments and deliver expert technical support to agricultural producers. Proactively assess agricultural obstacles and propose actionable, efficient solutions to address them.

Proven expertise in mobilizing and engaging community members, coupled with the ability to deliver effective training programs. Demonstrates flexibility and readiness to undertake substantial fieldwork assignments with enthusiasm and dedication.
