Position Summary: The Field MEAL Coordinator is responsible for supporting the effective implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities at the field level. The position ensures that MEAL systems, tools, and procedures are properly applied across projects, supporting evidence-based decision-making, quality programming, accountability to affected populations (AAP), and continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of project-specific MEAL plans, frameworks, and monitoring systems in coordination with program teams.
Ensure effective coordination and integration of MEAL activities across field locations and projects.
Support the adaptation and roll-out of MEAL tools, guidelines, and procedures at the field level.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, social sciences, etc.).
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning roles, preferably in the context of humanitarian or development programs.
Languages: Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Arabic (fluent).
Others:
Proficient use of KOBO, MS Word, Excel, and Power BI.
Proficient in producing high quality reports.
Strong understanding of MEAL principles and humanitarian standards.
Experience with logical frameworks and Results-Based Management (RBM).
Skills:
Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.
Experience with Kobo Toolbox, ODK, or similar digital data collection platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proficient in report writing.
Personal Abilities and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
Planning, organizing, analyzing, and assessing skills.
Excellent communication and interaction skills. Teamwork and delegation of tasks.
Ability to operate in an environment of multiple cultures that require flexibility.
Time management skills and adherence to narrow deadlines with strong attention to detail.
