Description Movie Uganda is currently seeking a Mechanic to maintain the fleet’s peak performance, uphold safety standards, and maximize cost efficiency via scheduled preventive maintenance, prompt repairs, and diligent supervision of external service providers. Designing and delivering functional outputs represents a core responsibility within this role, with activities meticulously aligned to key performance areas to ensure measurable outcomes. Each function is executed through structured processes that prioritize efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to organizational standards. The incumbent will be accountable for generating tangible results that contribute directly to strategic objectives, while consistently evaluating performance against predefined metrics. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to align efforts with broader departmental goals and foster synergistic solutions. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all fleet vehicles to proactively reduce the likelihood of mechanical failures and operational disruptions. Supervise and validate the work performed by external garages or service providers to maintain high standards of quality and ensure cost-effectiveness. Ensure that only authentic and manufacturer-approved spare parts are utilized in all repair and maintenance operations. You will be responsible for ensuring meticulous upkeep of maintenance records, service logs, and repair histories for all vehicles. Identify persistent issues within the fleet and propose sustainable corrective measures to enhance overall reliability. Provide technical support during breakdown responses and offer guidance as required to ensure effective resolution. Ensure all maintenance operations strictly comply with established safety standards and company policies. Responsible for overseeing and optimizing financial operations, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Analyzes financial data to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend strategic improvements to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Manages financial planning, cash flow projections, and investment strategies to support organizational goals. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with business initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial transactions.

Promote the efficient utilization of spare parts, tools, equipment, and consumables to reduce waste and optimize resource allocation. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure organizational resilience against potential threats. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks across all operational areas while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to implement risk management frameworks and foster a culture of risk awareness throughout the organization. Monitor emerging risks, analyze trends, and report findings to stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Maintain proficiency in industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risk management tools to enhance the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts.

• Assess potential risks within the department, develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies, and maintain a comprehensive tracking system to monitor progress and outcomes. Ensures adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies through systematic monitoring and assessment of operations, risk exposure, and control effectiveness. Develops and implements robust compliance frameworks to mitigate potential violations and safeguard organizational integrity. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align business practices with regulatory standards while providing clear guidance on compliance obligations. Minimum education and experience prerequisites include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in a financial or accounting role, demonstrating proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. Additionally, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities are essential. Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills are required. A recognized institution must provide a Certificate in Automotive Mechanics or an equivalent credential in a related field. Certification from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including Scania, is highly beneficial. We seek candidates with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a comparable role.
