We are a Christian school in the education sector seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer & Videographer to join our Marketing Department. This role will focus on creating visually compelling designs, capturing high-quality video content, and ensuring brand consistency across all media platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to produce content that promotes the school’s values, culture, and programs.

Responsibilities:

Create high-quality graphic designs for print and digital platforms, including posters, flyers, social media content. Capture and edit videos for events, campaigns, social media, and other marketing needs. Maintain and update the school’s brand assets, ensuring consistent application of brand guidelines. Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to execute content calendars, campaign visuals, and multimedia projects. Innovate and test new creative approaches to enhance audience engagement. Manage photography and videography for events, ensuring consent procedures are followed. Organize and archive design files, video footage, and other creative assets for easy access and future use. Provide technical and creative input during brainstorming sessions and project planning.

Profile:

Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Film Production, Media, or a related field. Proven experience in graphic design and videography (portfolio required). Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Strong eye for detail, creativity, and visual storytelling. Good understanding of social media content trends and best practices.

Accounts Assistant

Join our Finance Department as an Accounts Assistant, where you will support essential financial and accounting operations—ranging from daily bookkeeping to budget preparation and facilitating audits. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the smooth running of school operations.

Responsibilities:

Process financial documents, including invoices, bills, and accounts payable/receivable entries. Review and proofread requisitions from departments for accuracy and completeness. Compile and submit regular financial reports to the Head of Accounts. Verify bank deposits and assist with bank reconciliations. Enter financial data into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or Sage). Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and assistance. Post daily financial transactions and record office expenditures, ensuring adherence to budget policies. Assist in preparing budgets and managerial reports, collaborating with the Head of Accounts and Finance Administrator.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field. Must have completed CPA Part 2 (or equivalent professional accounting qualification). Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

Assistant Head of Department – Boarding (Male)

Mirema School is a Christian day and boarding institution committed to holistic education and learner welfare. We are seeking a qualified Assistant Head of Department – Boarding (Male) to support the Head of Boarding in managing the daily operations, discipline, and overall well-being of boarders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, compassion, and the ability to foster a safe, supportive, and structured environment for learners.

Responsibilities:

Assist in developing, reviewing, and communicating boarding schedules, rules, and routines. Support the Head of Department in supervising boarding staff and ensuring consistency in boarding practices. Coordinate and implement the boarding calendar in collaboration with other departments. Oversee pupil discipline and ensure adherence to school routines, including wake-up, lights-out, and bedtime. Supervise personal grooming and ensure learners are presentable for school, church, and co-curricular activities. Monitor dorm cleanliness, hygiene, and organization, including regular airing of bedding. Identify and support learners with special needs (e.g., bed-wetting) in a discreet and caring manner. Maintain accurate boarding attendance records and liaise with admissions, head teacher, and accounts on absenteeism. Work with the kitchen team to ensure all boarders receive appropriate meals, including those with special dietary needs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Diploma/Certificate in Counselling, Teaching, Nursing, or related field. Additional Counselling qualification is required. Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a boarding or student welfare role. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
