Expérience
We are in search of an organized and proactive Import & Export Documentation Specialist to oversee all import and export paperwork, ensuring strict adherence to customs regulations and company protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing documentation processes with precision and efficiency. Prepare, review, and manage all import and export documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Coordinate customs clearance processes in collaboration with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and relevant government authorities to ensure efficient and compliant import/export operations. Ensure adherence to Rwanda Customs, ERA, and international trade regulations at all times. Monitor shipments closely and deliver real-time status updates to internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include ensuring precise maintenance of shipping and documentation records. Promptly address and resolve any discrepancies in documentation as well as issues related to customs to ensure seamless operations and compliance. To facilitate seamless cargo operations, collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, warehouse, and finance teams, ensuring efficient coordination across all departments involved in the shipment process. A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in preparing and managing import and export documentation is required. Proficient in customs procedures, shipping documentation, and international trade regulations. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office is essential, with prior experience in ERP systems serving as a beneficial additional qualification.
