The Rwanda Ministry of Health (MOH) and Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), through the Malaria and Other Parasitic Diseases Division (MOPED), acknowledge that maintaining progress in malaria control and advancing toward elimination depend on robust implementation of Integrated Vector Management (IVM). IVM is a strategic, evidence-based framework that integrates vector control measures, environmental modifications, community engagement, and cross-sector collaboration to effectively reduce malaria transmission. Current training resources must be reviewed, revised, and enhanced to align with the latest technical standards, the Rwanda Malaria Strategic Plan (NSP) 2027–2030, and adult learning methodologies, while ensuring accessibility and relevance for community audiences. To facilitate the execution of community-based IVM interventions, there is a requirement for standardized, context-appropriate training materials that build the capacity of Community Health Workers (CHWs), community leaders, local authorities, and other key stakeholders engaged in malaria prevention and vector control. Under the RISE Malaria Project, Diego, in partnership with the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), seeks to engage a skilled consultant to comprehensively review and update IVM training packages, including: – Revised national IVM training manuals (for facilitators and participants) and updated communication materials, – A Kinyarwanda-language audiovisual training package designed to enhance community learning and engagement, and – An illustrated IVM training booklet incorporating diagrams, figures, and simplified technical content through user-friendly formats such as tables and visual aids to support training and supervision. These materials will support the delivery of standardized, high-quality community education on IVM in malaria hotspot areas, fostering active participation and advancing Rwanda’s national malaria elimination agenda. Objective The primary aim of this assignment is to produce high-quality, accessible, and standardized IVM training materials that enhance community knowledge and strengthen the implementation of malaria vector control interventions. Key Responsibilities Guided by the Rwanda Malaria Strategic Plan 2027–2030, the consultant will: – Assess and update existing national IVM guidelines, training manuals, and communication materials, – Develop a comprehensive IVM training curriculum and facilitator’s guide, – Draft Kinyarwanda scripts for the audiovisual training module, – Design and produce an illustrated IVM training booklet, and – Review, revise, and finalize all materials for printing and dissemination. - •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
- •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
- •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
- •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
- •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
- •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
