COST & PRICING ACCOUNTANT Job Title Cost & Pricing Accountant Reports To Management Accountant Location Head Office – Lusaka Accountant Job Purpose To maintain accurate product costing and pricing data across Mika Meats’ meat processing and retail operations, ensuring all costs, including raw materials, production yields, labour, and overheads, are correctly captured and reflected in pricing decisions and management reports. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain standard product costs for all meat products including fresh, processed, and packaged items.
• Track weekly production variances and post them in Sage with proper documentation and reconciliation.
• Analyze deviations between actual production costs and standard costs, reporting findings to management.
• Prepare and present weekly production variance reports highlighting key insights and financial impacts.
• Support pricing reviews, ensuring prices reflect production costs, market conditions, and profitability targets.
• Perform cost analysis for production processes, identifying areas for cost savings.
• Work with the production and operations teams to understand cost drivers and inefficiencies.

Assist the Assistant Manager in preparing budgets, forecasts, and management account commentary. System Responsibilities System Responsibilities Sage Costing entries, variance postings, and cost reporting. Alien POS Retail pricing validation and sales margin analysis. Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years in product costing or management accounting.

Expérience

• Experience in food processing or FMCG manufacturing preferred.
