Responsibilities
As a Stores Operations and Inventory Supervisor, you will oversee store management duties within designated locations to ensure seamless and optimized operations. Your key responsibilities include supervising the efficient handling, processing, and storage of diverse product inventory for proper maintenance and organization. To maintain operational excellence, you will be responsible for supervising security protocols, sanitation standards, and overall performance, while also handling administrative duties such as tracking inventory levels. This ensures the delivery of superior service and consistently high customer satisfaction.
You will oversee and direct staff members involved in store management operations, ensuring efficient team performance and adherence to company standards. You will plan and oversee the daily operations of designated stores, focusing on implementing strategies to enhance customer service and uphold stringent standards by cultivating a positive workplace culture at the assigned location.
Your responsibilities include receiving incoming materials and supplies, conducting thorough inspections to verify quality and accuracy, and securely storing items in their designated locations. You will monitor stock levels diligently and initiate timely reorders upon reaching predetermined thresholds to maintain seamless service delivery for requesting officers. You will accurately process all management-received and issued documentation for each store, maintaining a seamless workflow while ensuring efficient filing for quick retrieval.
You will verify that all incoming materials, supplies, and products are inspected thoroughly and organized in a structured, space-efficient manner for proper storage and display. Daily, you will conduct a comprehensive inventory verification of all materials, supplies, and products, with a particular focus on high-velocity items, as outlined in the report. You will also conduct routine assessments of stock aging and provide regular updates to management regarding obsolete inventory to designated supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates who possess a full Grade 12 school certificate, a minimum professional qualification of a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply, at least three years of relevant work experience, and active membership in the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply are encouraged to apply.
