JOIN OUR TEAM Early Childhood Educator Foundation Stage (Ages 2–5)

  • Cambridge and Zambian Curriculum Livingstone, Zambia | Full-Time | Relocation allowance available We are a private school currently in an exciting new chapter. As we restructure, we’re looking for a dynamic, creative, and committed Early Childhood Educator to help lead our Foundation Stage through this transition. This is more than a classroom role. We want someone who brings fresh thinking and energy to early years teaching, builds genuine enthusiasm for learning in young children, and helps strengthen our reputation with families in the process. If you believe in giving the early years the best possible foundation, we want to hear from you About the Role As our Early Childhood Educator, you will lead learning for children aged 2 to 5, delivering a hybrid Cambridge and Zambian curriculum while bringing your own flair, creativity, and initiative to the classroom and beyond. Set on a beautiful campus surrounded by nature, our school provides children with daily opportunities to explore, play, and learn in an environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and a genuine connection with the natural world. You will be a key figure in our school’s story — someone whose passion for early years education gives parents confidence and gives children the strongest possible foundation for the years ahead. What You’ll Do

ExpĂŠrience

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Cambridge Early Years framework.
  • Design creative, hands-on lessons that go beyond the textbook and bring ‘out of the box’ thinking into everyday teaching.
  • Build a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment where young children feel confident to explore and grow.
  • Track and report on each child’s developmental progress, communicating openly and positively with parents.
  • Take initiative in shaping classroom culture, routines, and activities
  • Act as a visible, positive ambassador for the school within the local community and beyond.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and leadership as the school refreshes its identity, programmes, and reputation.
  • Mentor and set an example for newer or junior early years staff as the team grows. What We’re Looking For
  • Recognised Early Childhood Education qualification, with required training or experience in the Cambridge curriculum (e.g. Cambridge Early Years / CIE-aligned training).
  • Proven experience teaching children aged 2–5, ideally in an international or private school setting.
  • A naturally dynamic, energetic, and creative teaching style — someone who enjoys experimenting with new methods rather than sticking strictly to routine.
  • Strong initiative and the confidence to make decisions, solve problems, and contribute ideas

Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.

  • Genuine enthusiasm for relocating internationally, meeting new people, and immersing yourself in a new culture and community.
  • Resilience and a positive, can-do attitude – someone energised by being part of a school in transition.
  • A strong personal presence that can help build trust and excitement among prospective families. Why Join Us We’re not just filling a vacancy, we’re investing in the person who will help define what our school becomes next. You’ll have real creative freedom, a leadership team that wants fresh ideas, and the opportunity to make a visible, lasting mark on a school’s story.

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Localisation

  • The chance to be a founding figure in an exciting, refreshed school identity.

Expert Application Advice

When tailoring your CV for Acacia School, don’t just list your duties—show how you met a challenge like les compétences demandées dans l'annonce. Use bullet points with numbers or results. This proves you’re ready for the role and stand out to recruiters.

Positioning — Your cover letter must answer one question: why YOU for THIS specific role right NOW? Avoid generic templates — one sentence on what you specifically bring beats three generic paragraphs.

Targeted application — Align your CV to this offer's exact keywords and back every claimed skill with a concrete example. A cover letter showing you understand the specific challenges of this role consistently makes the difference.

  • •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
