Learn more: jti.com Function: Manufacturing Reports to: Environmental Health and Safety Manager Application Deadline: 10th August 2026 Contract Type :Fixed Term Integrated Management Systems Associate This position is responsible for designing, executing, monitoring, and enhancing the Integrated Management System (IMS), which encompasses ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and any other relevant standards. WHAT YOU WILL DO: IMS Associate will be responsible for: Develop, implement, and continuously refine IMS documentation and processes to ensure alignment with organizational standards and operational needs. Ensure adherence to ISO standards and applicable legal regulations to maintain operational integrity and regulatory compliance. Plan and oversee both internal and external audits, while also organizing and managing certification audits to ensure compliance and adherence to established standards. Conduct risk assessments and oversee the implementation of mitigation measures to ensure organizational safety and compliance. Spearhead ongoing enhancement efforts throughout the organization to foster sustained growth and operational excellence. Deliver comprehensive training sessions and awareness programs focusing on IMS (Integrated Management System) requirements to ensure organizational compliance and competency. Oversee the document control and records management system to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant handling of all organizational documents and records.
- Track and evaluate the performance metrics and key indicators of IMS systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certification in ISO standards, with a preference for Lead Auditor qualifications in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, is required. With a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in IMS (Integrated Management Systems) and ISO management systems within a manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise to the role.
- Proven expertise in conducting audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and implementing robust risk management strategies.
- Proficiency in English and Swahili
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and training skills Proficient understanding of legal compliance frameworks and regulatory standards is essential. Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools, with a strong command of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data analysis, documentation, and presentation purposes.
