The Assistant Commissioner – Culture and Talent Management is responsible for cultivating an inclusive organizational culture and optimizing talent development strategies. The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (USB) is a statutory organization responsible for the registration of businesses, companies, and intellectual property in Uganda. It ensures compliance with legal frameworks, streamlines registration processes, and enhances the ease of doing business in the country. The bureau offers services such as business name registration, company incorporation, trademark registration, and certificate authentication. To fulfill its mandate effectively, USB seeks qualified professionals with relevant expertise, a commitment to service excellence, and a passion for supporting Uganda’s economic growth through efficient regulatory mechanisms. We seek a highly skilled Professional Services candidate to deliver exceptional client solutions and drive customer satisfaction. This role requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience, with expertise in consulting, implementation, or project management within a professional services environment. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and proficiency in industry-specific tools and methodologies. Responsibilities include analyzing client needs, developing tailored solutions, overseeing project execution, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables. Human Resources, Management, Civil & Government professionals oversee strategic workforce planning, policy implementation, and compliance with regulatory standards while fostering organizational development and employee engagement. These roles require strong leadership in directing teams, resolving complex workplace issues, and ensuring adherence to labor laws and civil service mandates. Responsibilities encompass talent acquisition, performance management, workforce diversity initiatives, and maintaining harmonious labor relations. Candidates must possess expertise in governmental regulations, civil service frameworks, and management principles, coupled with exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities to navigate intricate administrative challenges effectively. JOB OPPORTUNITY The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (USB), established under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act, Cap. 217, operates as a statutory authority. It oversees the registration of businesses, intellectual property rights—such as trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and geographical indications—as well as the administration of copyright and neighboring rights. Additionally, the bureau manages insolvency and receivership matters alongside the registration of security interests in movable property. The Bureau is actively seeking to employ highly skilled, capable, and seasoned professionals to fill the current vacancies in the following roles. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
