Job description: Key Responsibilities Formulate, implement, and manage a robust training and development strategy that fully aligns with the organization’s strategic goals. We are seeking to create and deliver leadership development initiatives tailored for both emerging and established leaders, ensuring these programs are fully aligned with our succession planning objectives and strategic business requirements. Facilitate structured coaching, mentoring initiatives, and leadership evaluation processes to enhance team and individual performance. Assess the impact of the leadership program and propose enhancements in collaboration with relevant departments and units. Collaborate with pertinent stakeholders to facilitate the formal accreditation of learning programs on-site, as necessary. Prepare statistical reports to support management in making informed decisions and providing essential information. Oversee and enhance Learning Management Systems (LMS), training databases, and reporting tools to guarantee the efficient delivery and monitoring of training initiatives. E-learning development and administration: Create, deploy, and oversee e-learning modules, virtual classroom environments, and digital learning materials to enhance accessibility and learning flexibility. Integrate innovative learning technologies, employ gamification strategies, and adopt blended learning methodologies to enhance educational outcomes. Conduct comprehensive assessments of training requirements to either design innovative training initiatives or enhance and revise current programs. We are responsible for developing and executing training and development policies, procedures, and talent frameworks to enhance workforce capability and drive organizational growth. The induction programs undergo thorough evaluation, enhancement, and oversight to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with organizational objectives. This role involves identifying areas for improvement, implementing necessary changes, and maintaining the overall management of these programs to support seamless onboarding and integration of new hires. Drive the implementation of change management initiatives integral to organizational transformation efforts. Enhance organizational culture by actively participating in initiatives designed to foster a high-performance environment. Spearhead the organization’s succession planning initiatives, focusing on critical and leadership positions. Assess staff members with high potential and establish robust succession planning frameworks. Conduct periodic talent review and succession planning discussions in collaboration with business leaders. Design and implement comprehensive career development structures and progression pathways throughout the organization. Facilitate internal mobility and foster opportunities for career advancement. Develop and implement strategic career development programs aimed at enhancing employee retention rates. Implement programs designed to acknowledge contributions and foster professional growth, thereby enhancing employee engagement and dedication. Job Specific Competencies Demonstrated leadership capability, including the aptitude to motivate and direct teams effectively in pursuit of training objectives. Analytical skills: Strong ability to evaluate training requirements and assess the effectiveness of program outcomes. Technology proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning software, and digital learning technologies is essential. Adaptability Adaptability to modify strategies in accordance with evolving organizational needs is essential. A comprehensive familiarity with Zambian employment legislation and the nation’s diversity objectives is essential. Demonstrated expertise in project and change management methodologies is required, with a strong ability to oversee initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and seamless integration of changes within the organization. Facilitation and Presentation Skills Budget and Vendor Management We conduct comprehensive assessments of training requirements, evaluate learning outcomes, and measure return on investment to ensure the effectiveness and impact of our training initiatives. Policy Development and Compliance Key Job Attributes Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in communication and stakeholder management. Planning and Organising We must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling us to effectively engage with both managers and employees to drive alignment and foster collaboration. Critical thinking Problem solving skills Collaborative and approachable Resilient under pressure Passionate about developing people Required experience for this position includes prior involvement in similar roles, ensuring candidates possess the necessary background to meet the demands of the position. We seek candidates with a minimum of eight to ten years of experience in training, professional development, or instructional leadership roles. Experienced in overseeing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms, with a demonstrated history of successful management. Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and delivering highly effective training initiatives. Proficient in adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies, and performance assessment techniques. Proficient in both conventional and contemporary training methodologies. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Technology, or a closely related field is required. Additionally, possession of ZARA Accreditation is mandatory. A master’s degree would be considered a valuable asset. ZI HRM Certification is a mandatory requirement for this position.
