Contexte de l'AATF

L'African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF) est une organisation caritative dirigée par des Africains, enregistrée au Royaume-Uni, au Kenya et au Nigeria, présente dans trente-deux (32) pays africains. Elle est dédiée à l'amélioration des moyens de subsistance des petits exploitants agricoles en Afrique subsaharienne en facilitant l'accès à des technologies agricoles innovantes. La mission de l'AATF est de transformer les moyens de subsistance des petits exploitants en Afrique subsaharienne, soutenue par une vision d'une Afrique prospère, résiliente et dotée de sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle.

L'AATF est gouvernée par un Conseil d'administration responsable de l'orientation stratégique et de la supervision, de la supervision de la direction exécutive, de la gestion financière, de la gouvernance et de l'établissement des politiques, de la supervision des programmes, ainsi que de la conformité légale et éthique.

Expression d'intérêt (EOI)

L'AATF invite les candidats appropriés à soumettre leur EOI pour servir en tant qu'observateurs au sein du Conseil d'administration de l'AATF, provenant des régions suivantes : Afrique australe, Afrique de l'Ouest, Royaume-Uni, États-Unis d'Amérique, Asie ou Moyen-Orient.

Les candidats intéressés doivent avoir de l'expérience et de l'expertise dans au moins deux (2) des domaines thématiques suivants :

Mobilisation des ressources et partenariats ;

Stratégie d'entreprise, innovation et design thinking ;

Biotechnologie et affaires réglementaires en matière de biosécurité ;

Agriculture numérique et technologies émergentes ;

Données et intelligence artificielle (IA) ;

Politiques publiques, commerce et affaires réglementaires ; et

Inclusion, genre et jeunesse dans l'agriculture.

De plus, ils doivent démontrer :

Intégrité et leadership éthique ;

Pensée stratégique et analytique ;

Solides compétences en communication et en consolidation de consensus ;

Autres informations

Appréciation de la diversité culturelle et des contextes multi-pays ;

Passion pour le développement agricole et l'innovation dirigée par l'Afrique ; et

Capacité à naviguer dans des écosystèmes complexes de gouvernance et de développement.

Rôle et responsabilités des observateurs du Conseil

Les candidats potentiels devront assister à une réunion en personne et à une réunion virtuelle du Conseil pour effectuer des tâches et soutenir les engagements stratégiques selon les besoins. De plus, ils devront participer à au moins une réunion de l'un des comités suivants :

Développement de programmes et commercialisation ;

Nominations et gouvernance ;

Audit et risques ;

Mobilisation des ressources et durabilité ; et

Groupes de travail ad hoc.
