Reports to: Managing Director About Invest (by Button): Invest (invest.RW) operates as Rwanda’s premier mobile-first investment platform, empowering retail investors with seamless access to buy and sell securities on the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE). Developed by Button Ltd, the platform was admitted into the Capital Market Authority (CMA) Fintech Regulatory Sandbox in May 2026. As we expand Button Brokerage—our dedicated brokerage entity—we are progressing through the CMA’s licensing process. Comprising a small, early-stage team, we are pioneering capital markets infrastructure in Rwanda from the ground up. The Role: We seek a Trading & Settlements Officer to oversee the operational backbone of our brokerage, ensuring precise execution and settlement of client trades, seamless broker relationships, and flawless reconciliation processes. This is a hands-on, high-stakes role central to how Invest facilitates financial transactions—far beyond a traditional support function. As one of our first operational hires, you will play a pivotal role in defining and scaling trading and settlement workflows. Key Responsibilities: Trade Execution: Accurately process client buy and sell orders for RSE-listed equities and bonds within stipulated deadlines, strictly adhering to client instructions and regulatory mandates. Track order status and validate executions with counterparty brokers and the RSE trading system. Settlement & Reconciliation: Conduct daily reconciliations of trade and settlement records, promptly addressing and resolving discrepancies. Verify client accounts, deposits, and withdrawals linked to trading activities. Broker & Market Liaison: Act as Button Brokerage’s primary operational liaison with partner brokers and counterparty trading desks, coordinating order routing, confirming trade details, and resolving execution or settlement discrepancies. Regulatory Reporting & Compliance: Compile and submit periodic reports to relevant authorities and stakeholders. Execute daily AML/CFT/CPF monitoring, including transaction screening, in alignment with Button’s compliance policies. Maintain meticulous records of trading, settlement, and client transactions, ensuring full compliance with CMA record keeping standards.
