Description Background DEM is seeking a qualified consultant to support its partnership in Nigeria in the validation of a training plan and the preparation of an institutional capacity-building manual for ECOWAS. The assignment is part of the Institutional Strengthening ECOWAS Phase II – ISE II Action , financed by the European Union and implemented by ECOWAS with the support of AECID. The consultant will facilitate a nine-day validation workshop in Abidjan, systematise the feedback received and consolidate the training materials into a final methodological guide.
Academic Qualifications University degree in international cooperation, international relations, project management, public administration or a related field.
General Professional Experience At least eight years of demonstrable professional experience in the design and delivery of training programmes related to: European Union and other external funding mobilisation. Project cycle management. Project preparation. Global Gateway. Specific Professional Experience Demonstrated experience with Global Gateway initiatives in West Africa , preferably involving ECOWAS . Previous experience working with AECID . Experience in projects financed by the European Union . Experience preparing and compiling training materials, methodological guides and manuals on EU funding mobilisation, external financing, project cycle management or Global Gateway. Language Requirements Professional proficiency in English and French is required. The consultant must be able to deliver and facilitate training sessions in either English or French . Assets Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese . Previous experience working directly with ECOWAS .
