Person Specification: Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in a pharmacy-related discipline from an accredited institution. Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree conferred by an accredited institution, with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.8. Applicants must possess a current, valid membership certificate issued by the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda at the time of application. Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic track record, including significant contributions to research, a history of scholarly publications, and effective teaching experience.

Formation / Diplômes

• Proficiency in using computers and related software applications is required. Applicants must possess at least five years of teaching experience at an accredited higher education institution. Delivers lectures to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, having prepared engaging and informative course materials in advance.
• Develops and administers tests, examinations, and coursework to evaluate student comprehension and progress. Administers and supervises test and examination sessions to ensure integrity, proper conduct, and adherence to established protocols. Responsibilities include evaluating tests, coursework, and examination scripts, as well as compiling and grading examination results. Provides academic guidance and support to students regarding their performance. Handles students’ non-academic concerns and directs individuals requiring additional counseling or guidance to appropriate support services.

• Publishes and presents research findings at conferences, seminars, and through scholarly publications to advance the field and share insights. Oversees the work of undergraduate and postgraduate students engaged in research projects. Facilitates both seminars and tutorial sessions to enhance learning experiences and support academic development. Performs official administrative tasks within the department under the guidance of the Head of Department. Demonstrates dedication to the University and broader community by actively engaging in service initiatives that foster meaningful societal impact and strengthen collaborative partnerships. Proficient in utilizing computer systems and software applications to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Skilled in navigating various operating systems, productivity tools, and digital platforms to support workflow processes and data management.
• Conduct comprehensive research initiatives to gather, analyze, and synthesize data, ensuring accuracy and relevance to inform strategic decisions and project objectives. A master’s degree in a pharmacy-related field from an accredited institution is required.
