Tera Fleet Management Limited is currently seeking to employ a Logistics Supervisor to add value to our growing team. JOB TITLE: Logistics Supervisor (X1) DEPARTMENT: Logistics LOCATION: Ndola, Sakania JOB PURPOSE The main purpose of the role will be to manage the company’s logistics needs by sourcing transporters and supervising logistics operations to ensure efficient, safe, and smooth cargo transportation from loading to offloading. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Sourcing transporters to transport client cargo along the North and South Bound routes. 2. Manage the company’s and all logistics operations locally and across borders within the Southern Region. 3. Ensure compliance with local and cross-border legislation related to transit of cargo, customs processes, and import/export rules. 4. Monitor cargo movements, including routes, rest stops and delivery schedules. 5. Provide timely support to the team, drivers and clients and liaise with customs officials and clearing agents. 6. Plan and establish cargo routes to optimize transit efficiency and maximise cargo security during transit. 7. Continuously improve team expertise by identifying areas of improvement and then providing coaching and technical skills. 8. Provide administrative support and liaise between the team and the company’s executive leadership. 9. Prepare operational reports outlining team performance and efficiency. 10. Conduct regular departmental audits to identify lapses, inefficiencies and outline recommendations for improvements. 11. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least a Credit or better in Mathematics and English. 2. Bachelor’s Degree in Transport and Logistics, Transport Management or related field. 3. At least 3 years of work experience in a reputable transport and logistics company. 4. Familiar with logistics operations, including inland transportation, warehousing, ocean transportation, and clearing procedures. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES 1. Must have experience in the logistics industry. 2. Extensive knowledge of both North and South Bound Cargo movement, including routes, documentation and regulatory requirements. 3. Familiarity with customs clearance procedures for Zambia-DRC, Zambia-Durban routes(must be familiar with at least two of these routes). 4. Familiarity with border crossing procedures (e.g., Kasumbalesa, Sakania, Mokambo, Nakonde, etc.) 5. Extensive trucking and customs clearance agent resources is a plus. NOTE.
