Role Purpose The Engineering Surveyor is responsible for delivering specialized surveying expertise to support all Lot-related construction activities, guaranteeing meticulous accuracy in measurements and data collection. In overseeing the execution phase, the role involves managing the transfer of control, ensuring precise volume measurement, and adhering to specified construction tolerances. The position plays a vital role in ensuring precision in alignment, earthwork operations, and structural construction activities. Key Responsibilities

• Establishing and delineating all Lot works, encompassing: o Road alignment o Culverts and structures Here’s the paragraph: The role involves overseeing and managing toll plaza and weighbridge platforms, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include monitoring traffic flow, verifying vehicle weights, and facilitating efficient toll collection. Additionally, the position requires maintaining accurate records, addressing operational issues, and collaborating with relevant authorities to uphold safety and efficiency at these critical infrastructure points.
• Overseeing and sustaining the functionality of secondary control networks.
• Perform conformance surveys to ensure layers meet the tolerances specified in Appendix 6, Section D.4.
• Conduct volume surveys to maintain accurate records and measurements.

Responsible for capturing and documenting as-built data, ensuring accurate and comprehensive reporting. Daily provision of setting-out assistance to foreman teams. Qualifications & Experience

Expérience

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Aromatics, Land Surveying, Engineering Surveying, or an equivalent field is required. A TEV ETA Diploma, supplemented by at least 15 years of relevant professional experience, is acceptable. With a minimum of 10 years of dedicated experience in engineering surveying, specifically within road construction projects, you will bring a wealth of expertise to our team.
• Expertise in: o Control transfer To establish the precise horizontal and vertical alignment of the road as per the approved design plans, including the positioning of key elements such as centerlines, gradients, and cross-sections. Revised: Monitoring and verification of earthworks volumes and layer elevations are critical responsibilities. Here’s a professional version:
• Demonstrated expertise in operating total station and GNSS rover surveying equipment. Relevant familiarity with GPS machine-control technology is considered a valuable asset. A current, full manual driver’s license is a mandatory requirement for this position. Statutory & Compliance Requirements

• Medical & Licences: A medical examination confirming fitness for employment must be successfully completed prior to commencement of duties, as this role involves working at a remote site. A valid manual driver’s license is a mandatory requirement for both supervisory and engineering positions.

• Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail alongside strong proficiency in maintaining accurate records and producing comprehensive reports.

• Position located in the remote site of Kaseya District, Northwestern Province, Zambia A residential role is available, including accommodation provided at a site camp.

• This position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis, aligning with the established construction program schedule, concluding in December 2029.
