Job Summary: Little.Africa is looking for a proactive and outcome-focused Operations & Partnerships Associate to strengthen our team in Kampala. This role involves overseeing the complete driver lifecycle, applying data-informed approaches to enhance driver availability and performance, managing day-to-day ride operations, and cultivating strategic partnerships that deliver mutual benefits for drivers, riders, and the company. Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement across departments. Collaborate with senior management to align business goals with performance metrics, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as a liaison between executive leadership and frontline employees to facilitate transparent communication and cultivate a cohesive work environment. Additionally, allocate resources effectively, prioritize high-impact projects, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Oversee the complete driver lifecycle, encompassing acquisition through retention. Devise and execute data-centric strategies aimed at optimizing driver availability and operational efficiency. Ensure the seamless execution of daily ride operations to consistently provide outstanding service.

• Examine operational and trip data to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
• Develop strategic alliances that deliver enhanced value for drivers, riders, and the organization. Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate and enhance projects and initiatives focused on driving organizational growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.

Expérience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ being essential.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles is mandatory.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is highly desirable.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting are critical.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey technical concepts effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or an equivalent discipline is required. Requires a minimum of three years of hands-on operational experience. Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in analytical thinking and problem resolution. Proficiency in technology, transportation, or the sharing economy sectors is considered a valuable asset. Skilled in effectively conveying ideas and building strong relationships with stakeholders through clear and concise communication. Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, with a strong command of their functionalities and applications.
