We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Documentation & In-Process Officer Location: Ikeja, Lagos Job Summary Morison Industries Plc is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Documentation & In-Process Officer to join its pharmaceutical manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate production documentation, monitoring in-process quality checks, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should possess excellent documentation skills, a strong quality mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, issue, reconcile, and archive Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), Batch Packaging Records (BPRs), and other controlled production documents. Review production documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance before submission to Quality Assurance. Perform and document in-process quality checks during manufacturing and packaging operations in accordance with approved procedures. Monitor critical process parameters and ensure compliance with established specifications. Verify line clearance activities before commencement of manufacturing and packaging operations. Record, investigate, and report in-process deviations, non-conformances, and abnormalities to the appropriate departments. Ensure all production records are completed in real time and maintained in compliance with data integrity requirements (ALCOA+ principles). Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) to resolve documentation discrepancies. Assist in GMP documentation training for production personnel. Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, process validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure controlled documents are properly managed, distributed, and archived according to document control procedures. Performance Indicators Success in this role will be measured by: Accuracy and completeness of production documentation. Compliance with GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements. Timely completion and review of batch records. Reduction in documentation errors and deviations. Effectiveness of in-process monitoring and compliance. Successful internal and regulatory audit outcomes. Skills and Qualifications Applicants must possess: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related science discipline (Required). Post-NYSC experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality assurance, documentation, or in-process quality control. Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems. Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Professional Certification: Relevant professional registration (where applicable) is an added advantage. For Pharmacy graduates, a valid PCN practising licence is desirable; for other science graduates, membership of a relevant professional body is an added advantage. Working Conditions: Full-time, on-site position based in Lagos. Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment requiring strict adherence to GMP, GDP, and workplace safety procedures.
