The incumbent will serve as the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Officer, responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations. They will conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations while implementing corrective actions. The role involves developing and maintaining safety policies, providing training, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. Additionally, the officer will coordinate with regulatory agencies, manage documentation, and support emergency response efforts. A strong attention to detail and proficiency in hazard identification and mitigation are essential. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven individual to fill the role of SHE Officer within our team. The SHE Officer is tasked with spearheading the creation, execution, and oversight of workplace safety, occupational health, and environmental management systems. This position ensures adherence to the Occupational Safety and Health Act (2006), the National Environment Act (2019), and international standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Oversee a range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to ensure organizational objectives are met. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and compliance across departments. Collaborate with senior management to align initiatives with long-term business goals while fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize workflows and resource allocation. Lead cross-functional teams by delegating tasks, mentoring staff, and resolving conflicts to maintain a high-performing and cohesive work environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (2006) and the National Environment Act (2019), by strictly adhering to established guidelines and standards. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments within the workplace, perform detailed fire safety audits, and evaluate potential environmental impacts as part of your responsibilities. Develop, execute, and oversee the monitoring of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policies, procedures, and safe systems of work to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Organize and deliver comprehensive training sessions focused on first aid, fire safety protocols, accident prevention strategies, and emergency response procedures to ensure workplace safety and preparedness. Lead incident investigations, analyze accident causes thoroughly, and institute corrective measures to prevent recurrence. Oversee both internal and external audits, manage statutory inspections, and develop comprehensive compliance reports to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies. Contractor Oversight: Verify that contractors adhere to established SHE policies and fulfill all statutory obligations. Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response protocols, with a specific focus on conducting regular fire drills to ensure readiness and compliance.

Environmental Leadership: Develop and implement strategic sustainability initiatives to foster responsible environmental stewardship. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; relevant certifications such as Compton A+, Network+, or Security+ preferred. Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in IT support, system administration, or a comparable technical role, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Strong working knowledge of network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical challenges efficiently. Strong communication skills for interacting with end-users and collaborating with cross-functional teams. A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, engineering, or a closely related field is required. Professional credentials in health, safety, and environmental management—such as BOSH, JOSH, or ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor certifications—are advantageous. Seeking candidates with a minimum of four to seven years of specialized experience in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) management, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or utilities industries.
