Yoko Bank Uganda is actively seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position with Branch Manager. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of progressive banking experience, including at least two years in a managerial role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of financial services and regulatory compliance. In 2020, it transitioned to a fully licensed Credit Institution and rebranded as Yoko Bank (U) Limited. The bank operates under diverse shareholder ownership and holds a valid license from the Bank of Uganda, enabling it to deliver savings and lending solutions to a broad client base. To accommodate the expanding demands of its clientele, the Bank is actively recruiting driven, independent, and results-focused individuals to fill the following role. We seek a skilled External Advertising Specialist to design and execute impactful promotional campaigns aimed at enhancing brand visibility and driving customer engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of three years of progressive experience in external advertising, digital marketing, or brand management. Responsibilities include developing strategic advertising initiatives, managing cross-channel campaigns, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with creative teams to produce compelling content. Additionally, the role demands proficiency in advertising platforms, data analytics tools, and a deep understanding of consumer behavior to optimize campaign performance. Experienced Branch Operation Manager required for our Jinja branch. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory, and reporting performance metrics. Candidates must possess strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within retail or operations. Proficiency in budgeting, inventory control, and staff training is essential. Fluency in English and local languages is preferred. This role will operate under the direct supervision of the Branch Manager and is situated at the Jinja Branch. The primary responsibilities of this position include overseeing key operational functions to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role, along with a proven track record of leadership and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in team management, budget oversight, and process optimization. Additionally, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments are essential. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is required. The Branch Operation Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Branch Manager to maintain seamless daily branch operations while upholding stringent operational standards, with particular emphasis on customer onboarding processes and adherence to internal AML/CFT compliance regulations. Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for delivering responsive solutions to meet customers’ banking requirements and collaborating effectively with the team to meet both sales and non-interest revenue targets of the branch. Key Result Areas: Assists the Branch Manager in presiding over delinquency and loan committee meetings at the branch, providing support in administrative and procedural matters as required. Assisting the Branch Manager in establishing personalized performance goals for loan officers is a key responsibility. We meticulously examine loan documentation to ensure its authenticity and completeness. Convene weekly meetings with branch staff to address operational matters, prioritizing updates on recent policy and procedural changes. Facilitate essential support sessions—including audit, compliance, HR, or other mandated functions—as required at the branch level. Proactively promote and recommend additional Yoko services to existing clients to enhance their engagement and satisfaction. Responsible for overseeing employee grievances in alignment with established Human Resource policies and procedures. Schedule the work schedules and leave requests of direct reports effectively, ensuring alignment with team objectives and operational needs while maintaining accurate records of attendance and time off. Support the account opening and validation process in the system with optimal efficiency while ensuring the accuracy and validity of all documents submitted by frontline officers. In the event that the submitted documents are incomplete, promptly initiate follow-up actions to ensure all required materials are obtained. We assist with the execution of internal audit functions and the follow-up processes for external audits. Facilitate the prompt and accurate fulfillment of customer requests, encompassing the processing of check book issuance, check activation, scheduled account statement printing for bank confirmations, and ATM card distribution. Responsibilities include meticulously managing inventory of sales kits and stock for FD certificates, brochures, and related materials, while promptly reporting and requesting replenishment of new stock as needed. Provide expert assistance and resolution for intricate customer inquiries within the sales support domain while consistently applying superior customer service standards. Monitor daily transactions involving significant material amounts and prepare comprehensive reports for the Branch Manager. Collaborate with front office staff to gather outstanding fees, such as dormant fees, and enhance the valuation structure of accounts while initiating the closure of low-value accounts. Fosters a collaborative and high-performing work environment by championing a culture of open communication and transparency throughout the branch. Provide support to the Business Manager in executing various operational duties as designated by the Business Manager. In accordance with Yoko HR policies, the incumbent is responsible for initiating staff performance evaluations, promotions, training programs, and transfers within the branch team. To cultivate a team capable of meeting both current organizational needs and future demands, it is essential to foster skill development in alignment with individual competencies, career goals, and professional aspirations.

Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement staff leave schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include overseeing cash handling procedures, ensuring the accuracy and security of vault operations, and maintaining compliance with established financial protocols at the branch. The ideal candidate must possess the following key competencies: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in relevant software and tools, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
