The Savoy Hotel is currently seeking applications from qualified candidates for the role of Finance Manager. This position entails the oversight and administration of the hotel’s financial activities, with a focus on establishing robust financial controls, facilitating prompt reporting, maintaining precise budgeting, and ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day financial activities while maintaining rigorous cash and accounting controls to safeguard organizational assets. Prepare and oversee hotel budgets, forecasts, and financial plans with precision and strategic oversight. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, in a timely manner. Responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, with a focus on ensuring prompt processing and accurate reconciliation of financial transactions. Facilitate the oversight of revenue tracking and expense management initiatives across all departments. Maintain precise documentation, records, and files while adhering to established internal control procedures to ensure compliance. Facilitate and oversee the annual audit process while providing necessary assistance, and ensure the timely follow-up and resolution of all audit findings. Deliver comprehensive financial analysis and strategic insights to aid senior leadership in making informed business decisions. Ensure adherence to all relevant statutory and regulatory mandates, as appropriate. Qualifications & Experience A recognized professional accounting qualification, such as ARCA or CIA, is highly desirable. A minimum of five years of professional experience in finance or accounting, with preference given to candidates possessing hospitality industry exposure. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration—or an equivalent field—is required for this position. Paragraph: Demonstrated expertise in budget development, financial statement preparation, and internal control systems is required. Individuals should possess robust expertise in accounting systems alongside advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with prior experience in Excel serving as an additional benefit.
