Le projet : This is an opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art landmark project in Rwanda. Mace have been delivering PMC services on major aviation projects for several years, increasing passenger capacity and improving overall services.
Vous serez responsable de :
Act as the technical authority for all aviation fuel system design, installation, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with ICAO, IATA DFSC, IP standards, and applicable Rwandan regulations. Review and approve fuel system design documents, P&IDs, equipment specifications, material data sheets, and construction drawings. Manage the fuel systems procurement process; evaluate supplier bids and provide technical award recommendations for storage, pipework, and dispensing equipment. Oversee fuel system construction works, managing interfaces with civil, structural, MEP, and airside contractors. Lead the fuel systems commissioning programme, including pipeline pressure testing, tank calibration, leak testing, and first-fill procedures. Identify and manage technical risks associated with fuel systems; contribute to HAZOP and HAZID exercises. Interface with the Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) and other authorities on environmental permits and spill prevention plans. Manage the handover of fuel systems to the airport operator, including training, O&M documentation, and maintenance contracts. Provide technical input into the fuel throughput modelling and capacity planning for the airport operator.
Vous devrez avoir :
Minimum 15 years’ experience in aviation fuel engineering or petroleum process engineering, with direct project delivery experience on airport fuel systems. Strong technical knowledge of aviation fuel hydrant systems, tank farm design, fuel quality management, and into-plane dispensing. Familiarity with IATA DFSC guidelines, IP (Energy Institute) standards, ICAO Annex 14, and aviation fuel safety regulations. Experience in HAZOP facilitation and process safety management for flammable liquid systems. Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering; Chartered Engineer status preferred. Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa or developing markets advantageous; fluency in English essential.
