The Lead, Agrifoods Systems will support the Mastercard Foundation in building impactful country programs within the WAEMU region. This role involves providing agricultural sector expertise, identifying challenges in agri-food systems, and collaborating with country teams to develop and implement programs. The Lead will also manage current programs, contribute to thought leadership on youth employment, and build relationships with partner organizations. The position requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of agricultural markets in Africa. Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Agricultural Economics, or Financial Inclusion Minimum 10 years of experience in financing agricultural companies and farmers Minimum 5 years of leadership and management experience Excellent project management skills Experience in commercial agricultural companies in Africa Strong understanding of financial inclusion in economic growth Knowledge of market challenges in rural and agricultural economics Experience in various agricultural value chains Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Excellent budgeting skills Proven verbal, written, and presentation skills Cultural sensitivity and integrity Commitment to Mastercard Foundation’s values
