Translation Trainees collaborate with MCP’s global team to ensure that essential materials and communications are made accessible to youth and partners worldwide. This position offers a valuable chance to gain hands-on translation experience while working alongside an established team of translation professionals. As a Translation Trainee, your responsibilities will include translating content, reviewing and validating translations, and acquiring knowledge of collaborative translation workflows, terminology management, and quality assurance processes. You will benefit from mentorship provided by experienced team members while developing expertise in an international multilingual setting, specifically within a globally oriented, youth-led organization focused on advocacy and policymaking in migration governance. You will report directly to the Director of Outreach & Engagement. This volunteer opportunity is fully remote, requiring approximately 3–5 hours of your time each week. Professionally trained candidates fluent in French, Spanish, and Arabic are actively sought for this opportunity.

Oversee a range of critical duties, including the management of daily operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Facilitate collaboration across teams to enhance productivity and streamline workflows. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and maintain high performance standards. Engage collaboratively with Translation Officers and fellow trainees to ensure uniformity in terminology across all assigned projects.

Experience

Facilitate language accessibility initiatives across MCP’s THINK, DELIVER, and ENGAGE teams, thereby enhancing the amplification of youth voices in migration governance and policymaking forums. Help maintain the precision, cultural relevance, and accessibility of translations tailored specifically for young readers. Where feasible, assist in facilitating multilingual communications for webinars, consultations, or events as necessary.
