We are seeking an ESG & Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist Specialist in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles alongside Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks. Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing ESG strategies and MEL systems to assess project impact, track progress, and ensure accountability. Duties include data collection, analysis, and reporting to measure performance against sustainability goals and stakeholder expectations. Requires expertise in ESG frameworks, MEL methodologies, and strong analytical skills to drive continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making. Positioned in Kitwe, this permanent position integrates the advancement of corporate sustainability (ESG) strategies with the oversight of project performance and impact assessment (MEL), driving data-informed organizational growth. Key Responsibilities ESG Management: Develop and oversee ESG frameworks while ensuring adherence to both local and international regulations. Additionally, spearhead risk assessments and streamline reporting processes to maintain transparency and accountability. MEL Frameworks: Design data collection frameworks, monitor performance metrics, ensure quality control processes, and convert data into strategic insights. Learning & Reporting: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within teams and generate detailed impact reports for stakeholders. Key Requirements Education: Diploma A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Statistics, Development Studies, or an equivalent discipline is required. Experience: A minimum of one to four years of direct experience in managing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks and/or Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems is required, with a preference for candidates from the non-governmental organization (NGO) or corporate sustainability sectors. Skills: Accomplished in utilizing data analysis software such as Excel, SPSS, and KoboToolbox/OK, with a solid grasp of the Zambian environmental regulatory framework.
