Bank of Africa Uganda is seeking a highly analytical and strategically minded Business Analyst to join our SME Banking division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by providing data-driven insights, identifying market opportunities, and supporting the development of innovative banking solutions tailored to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Demographics This role requires a deep understanding of the SME sector, strong financial acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies. Key Responsibilities: Analyze SME banking portfolios to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities. Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance reports. Collaborate with relationship managers to design and refine SME products and services. Conduct market research to understand SME needs, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics. Support strategic planning and business case development for new initiatives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend process improvements. Assist in credit risk assessment and portfolio monitoring for SME clients. Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics , or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, or CBAP ) is an added advantage. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, banking, or financial services, preferably with exposure to SME banking . Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
