Job description: Job category filters Purpose of the Role: This position is responsible for directing the Reliability Engineers Team in accordance with the Strategic Asset Management Plan, encompassing regular evaluations of asset management strategies, ongoing enhancements through defect elimination, thorough root cause analysis investigations, performance reporting, and oversight of work management processes. Specific Job Responsibilities: To guarantee the team’s adherence to established safety protocols, standards, and training programs. Periodically review and implement updates to asset management strategies for plant production equipment. Oversee an ongoing defect elimination initiative to pinpoint, evaluate, and resolve persistent failures efficiently. Conduct comprehensive root cause analyses (RCA) for critical incidents to ascertain underlying issues, establish effective corrective measures, and ensure their subsequent implementation and follow-up. Develop and manage a robust database to systematically record and preserve all actions stemming from defect elimination and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes. Develop and maintain robust reporting channels, fostering clear communication and collaboration with other departments to ensure timely completion of assigned corrective actions. Deliver all required resources to the team, ensuring they can complete their work safely and in strict adherence to technical standards. Demonstrate leadership and mentorship to team members by delivering continuous training and development, conducting performance evaluations, resolving conflicts, and managing crises effectively. Deliver strategic workforce alignment by placing qualified individuals in roles that maximize their strengths and align with organizational objectives. Develop and implement a comprehensive succession plan for all positions, encompassing your own role. Conduct regular performance evaluations with team members, aligned with established Planning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Assess emerging technologies and innovative methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of asset management operations. Job Specific Competencies: A thorough grasp of reliability engineering principles, particularly Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), is essential. Proficiency in asset lifecycle management methodologies and condition monitoring techniques specifically applicable to mining equipment and machinery is required. Computer literacy is essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Project . Key Job Attributes: Analytical strength and critical-thinking capabilities are essential for tackling intricate reliability challenges and crafting impactful solutions. Proficient in English communication, with a strong focus on written expression. Proven capability to collaborate seamlessly within cross-functional teams and cultivate strong professional relationships across departments, including operations, maintenance, and safety. Highly adept at both organization and resource allocation, with a strong commitment to maintaining excellence in all delegated and self-managed tasks.
