Job description: Job category filters Purpose of the Role: This position is responsible for overseeing the Reliability Engineers Team to ensure adherence to the Strategic Asset Management Plan, encompassing scheduled evaluations of asset management strategies, ongoing enhancements through defect elimination, thorough root cause analysis investigations, performance reporting, and oversight of work management processes. Specific Job Responsibilities: Ensure the team adheres to all safety procedures, standards, and training requirements. Periodically evaluate and oversee the asset management strategies implemented for plant production equipment. Oversee an ongoing defect elimination initiative, with a focus on identifying, analyzing, and resolving chronic failures in a timely manner. Facilitate the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process for critical incidents to systematically uncover underlying causes, establish corrective measures, and ensure the execution of remediation plans. Develop and uphold an exhaustive database to systematically record and manage actions stemming from defect elimination and root cause analysis processes. Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms, clear communication channels, and collaborative interactions with other departments to facilitate the timely completion of assigned corrective actions. Equip the team with the essential resources to ensure their work is performed safely and in strict technical accordance with established standards. Offer guidance and mentorship to team members by facilitating continuous training and development initiatives, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing conflicts and crises effectively. Job Specific Competencies: Proficient in reliability engineering methodologies, such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM). Experience & Qualifications: With a minimum of ten years of expertise in reliability engineering and asset management specifically within the mining sector, the ideal candidate will bring a wealth of specialized knowledge to this role. Highly skilled in utilizing maintenance and reliability systems, including ERP or CMMS platforms, monitoring systems, SCADA, Ossoff PI, and general database management. Experienced professionals with a background in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Master Test and Adjustment (MTA), or other methodologies for identifying equipment strategies will be considered for this role. Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline, or possess substantial hands-on experience in Reliability and Asset Management.
