Description: Background The PCC study team is executing the Sequential Strategies to Reach and Reengage Individuals after lapses from HIV Care in Zambia (Bella Easy) Study, a randomized controlled trial. The Bella Easy study seeks to evaluate the comparative effectiveness of six adaptive, sequential strategies for reengaging individuals living with HIV (PLWH) who have discontinued treatment, against the standard care approach, with the goal of encouraging prompt re-entry into care and sustained retention in public ART clinics in Zambia. This research will be conducted in four (4) selected clinics within the Lusaka province. Job Summary The Navigator will spearhead participant outreach and navigation services for clients experiencing care lapses, adhering strictly to the study protocol and follow-up procedures. Additionally, the Navigator will aid in re-engaging clients with care, coordinating logistics, delivering a warm welcome upon their return, offering emotional support and counseling, and facilitating seamless transfers—while meticulously documenting all interactions and outcomes. The Navigator will further assist in recruitment, consenting, enrollment, and the collection of high-quality data in alignment with the study protocol requirements. Recruitment agency directory Main Duties In accordance with established study protocols, representatives will initiate and conduct client interactions via telephone to ensure adherence to research guidelines. Perform on-site tracing for clients who cannot be reached via telephone by leveraging locator data and adhering to established tracing protocols. Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained in all phone communications and community tracing activities. Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients through effective communication and consistent engagement. Identify obstacles impacting return and retention, then collaborate with the client to establish and agree upon a structured plan. Offer comprehensive logistical assistance for re-entry procedures by coordinating with clinics and facilitating their operational workflows. Offer compassionate emotional support and professional counseling services within established training and supervision frameworks. Facilitate necessary transfers and maintain comprehensive documentation of all outcomes. We facilitate community-based Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) delivery for eligible clients assigned to NAV+CB-Med by coordinating mutually convenient delivery locations and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the process. Send timely reminders for upcoming appointments and follow up on missed appointments for clients who remain under active navigation after their return. Accurately and promptly complete all required tracing forms as well as navigator logs. Assist in the facilitation of recruitment, consent acquisition, participant enrollment, and the gathering of high-caliber data, all in strict adherence to the established study protocols. Prepare and submit weekly activity summaries to both the Implementation Officer and the Study Coordinator. Adverse events, social harms, and protocol deviations must be documented and reported via the established study reporting procedures. Assist in the execution of study-specific responsibilities as assigned by the Research Assistant or senior study personnel. Qualifications Grade 12 Certificate A certificate in health, community health, counseling, psychosocial support, or a related field is required. A diploma in a relevant area would be considered an additional asset. Professional Rewriting: Candidates should possess demonstrated experience in HIV outreach initiatives, treatment adherence support programs, peer navigation services, or tracing of patients who have defaulted on care. Fluent proficiency in English and at least one additional relevant local language is essential. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate, well-organized records are essential. Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and adherence to ethical standards are required.
