The Key Purpose This position is tasked with overseeing and aligning Brewing department operations, ensuring accountability for personnel, facilities, processes, products, quality, and management systems to consistently meet corporate and international brewing standards in the most streamlined, efficient, safe, and dependable way possible. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Output and Accountability

• Occupational Health, Safety and Risk
• Verify that all quality and taste benchmarks established for the Brewery are consistently achieved.
• Ensure overall reliability of production
• Enhance operational efficiency through process optimization while ensuring robust asset management to maximize plant availability. Brewing Strategy and Implementation Translate and execute brewing strategies in alignment with the organization’s manufacturing and business objectives. Ensure the rigorous implementation of standardized operational procedures across all regional brewery facilities. The incumbent must uphold all brand guidelines and brewing protocols to guarantee adherence to established standards throughout the production process.
• Perform brewing technical and brand audits in strict accordance with the QA audit schedule, documenting any deviations and addressing them via the non-conformance management process.
• Tasting Champion continuous enhancements in brewing processes by integrating and solidifying Value Process Optimization (IPO) tools, routines, and practices.
• Ensure compliance with all scheduled Brewing and IBM technical and business audits, as outlined in the audit calendar. People Management

Expérience

• Facilitate team problem solving and decision-making Ensure team leadership aligns with ABInBev’s established Leadership practices, fostering a cohesive and high-performing organizational culture. Experienced brewers will guide the team with a leadership approach that fosters a sense of ownership, empowers members to take initiative, and encourages strong collaboration and open communication.

Develop and establish clear, strategic objectives for the brewing team, ensuring alignment and understanding among all members through effective communication. Convene periodic team goal assessment meetings for the brewing staff, and facilitate consistent individual performance and progress evaluations. Conduct comprehensive training needs analyses and subsequently design and implement tailored training plans for each team member. The team must cultivate the necessary competencies, and cross-selling initiatives should be implemented to enhance collaboration and expertise across the engineering team. Offer guidance, support, and professional development to brewing personnel at levels 1, 2, and 3, ensuring their technical skills and knowledge are enhanced through structured coaching and mentorship initiatives. Brewing Managers oversee the mentorship and training of technical trainees, offering expert guidance and closely monitoring their professional development. Additionally, they play an active role in trainee evaluations, ensuring consistent progress and adherence to standards. Brewing Optimisation We continually enhance brewing quality and production processes to ensure efficiency and excellence in our operations. Analyzes operational metrics and key performance indicators to pinpoint areas where plant efficiency can be enhanced, subsequently conducting thorough evaluations of identified opportunities. Analyzes plant failure modes and conducts comprehensive investigations into repeated failures to identify and address underlying root causes. Ensures continuous improvement is integrated into the brewing team’s objectives and is included in routine goal assessment meetings. Oversee financial performance by developing, implementing, and monitoring budgets to ensure fiscal efficiency and accountability. Regularly conduct monthly financial Short Interval Control reviews to track variances, address discrepancies, and maintain alignment with strategic objectives. Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering is essential. A minimum requirement for this position is the IBD Brewing Diploma, ensuring a solid foundation in brewing principles and practices. SAB Ltd Brewing Traineeship, or an equivalent certification from ABInBev, is a mandatory prerequisite for this opportunity. Requires a minimum of eight to ten years of hands-on production experience, with at least five years dedicated to leadership roles specifically within the brewing sector. Experienced in making key commercial judgments within a brewery setting, encompassing financial, operational, and personnel aspects. Skilled in leveraging IPO, SAP modules, and NOSA Safety Standards and requirements effectively within operational frameworks. Additional Information:
