Human Capital Executive (Pharmaceutical Industry)
Our client, a well-established organization in the pharmaceutical industry, is recruiting a Human Capital Executive to support the implementation of strategic and operational HR initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee key HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training and development, and HR administration, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and local labor legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent. Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and labor legislation. Support performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and improvement plans. Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive work culture. Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution. Coordinate training needs assessments and employee development programs. Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems. Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce metrics to support management decision-making. Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies. Administer compensation and benefits processes in collaboration with Finance. Support succession planning and talent management initiatives. Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field. A professional HR certification (CHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is an advantage. Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in the pharmaceutical industry is mandatory. Strong understanding of Ugandan labor laws and HR best practices. Experience in managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR Information Systems (HRIS). Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates must have hands-on HR experience gained in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or pharmaceutical distribution environment, with a solid understanding of the sector's operational and regulatory requirements.
