Accountant (Financial Reporting & Book-keeping)
We are looking for a reliable and pragmatic accountant to manage the financial function of several small businesses owned by the same owner. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle bookkeeping, month-end reporting, reconciliations, audit support, and tax compliance with minimal supervision.
Job Context
Sector: Hospitality & Catering Contract type: Full-time (8am to 5pm) Location: Accra & Tema Region Experience level: Mid-level (3-5 years) Language: English Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records and perform bookkeeping Manage monthly close and reconciliations Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Liaise with external auditors and support audits Assist with VAT, PAYE, corporate tax returns, and other statutory filings Improve financial processes and controls Ensure periodic invoices and taxes are paid and filed.
Candidate Profile
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3 to 5 years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of financial reporting and month-end processes Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar software ACCA, CIMA, ICAG (qualified or in progress) is a non-essential advantage, may be replaced by experience Proficiency in Excel and organizational skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Must be ready to start immediately Must hold a valid driver's license and be a fully licensed driver Preference: Reside in Spintex, Baatsona, Lashibi, Sakumono, Nungua and surrounding areas, within reasonable commuting distance from Lashibi.
