We are recruiting a Truck Driver for our client, a company in the construction sector, based in Accra and operating in the Accra & Tema region. The position is full-time.
Job Context
The truck driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods and materials between different sites. They must meet delivery deadlines, inspect vehicles, and comply with transport laws and company policies.
Main Responsibilities
Drive trucks to transport goods to designated destinations. Load and unload cargo if necessary. Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance. Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules. Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and hours worked. Adhere to traffic laws, safety rules, and company procedures. Promptly report any vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or delays. Properly secure cargo to prevent damage during transport. Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff as needed.
Desired Profile
Driving license F. Clean criminal record. Knowledge of transport regulations and road safety practices. Ability to drive heavy vehicles safely. Good communication and time management skills. Physical ability to load, unload, and inspect cargo if necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
Secondary school diploma (S.S.C.E).
Experience
Intermediate level, with at least 5 years of experience.
Language
English.
Working Hours
Full-time, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
