Job Summary: A Store Keeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and recording of materials, supplies, and equipment. He/she ensures that inventory is accurately maintained, safely stored, and available when needed, while minimizing losses and stockouts.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies.
Store items properly to prevent damage, theft, or deterioration.
Issue materials according to authorized requests.
Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with records.
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and report shortages.
Prepare purchase requisitions for stock replenishment.
Ensure proper labeling, organization, and maintenance of the store.
Maintain documentation such as Goods Received Notes (GRN), issue vouchers, and stock registers.
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and other departments.
Follow company health, safety, and security procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience in store management, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
Required Skills:
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
