Chief Engineer
Accor S.A., a global leader in hospitality, is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and technical operations of its establishment.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections to assess the maintenance and safe, efficient operation of the hotel's physical structures, as well as all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and other related equipment. Verify the completion of all routine maintenance tasks in public areas, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, service areas, and outdoor spaces. Verify the completion of all repairs, replacements, and renovation work throughout the hotel. Participate in the recruitment, training, development, supervision, and discipline of all Engineering department staff, including service engineers, plumbers, painters, carpenters, and apprentices. Comply with all company purchasing policies and controls, including, but not limited to, submissions, budgets, and schedules for external contractors. Comply with all health and safety policies and all other company policies. Continuously follow prescribed safety procedures for staff, contractors, and equipment. Maintain effective energy management and preventive maintenance programs, and organize special training for other operational departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel. Regularly inform the General Manager and senior management of the specific and general condition of the building structures, systems, and related equipment, proposing prudent and cost-effective solutions for their upkeep. Access and input information via computer and generate required reports.
Support Functions
Manage the daily activities of the Engineering team in collaboration with the Assistant Chief Engineer. Prepare the annual repair and maintenance budget, utilities budget, and capital expenditure budget, and ensure costs remain within budget limits. Prepare all capital project authorizations and coordinate all related work. Prepare technical data, tenders, project work, and modifications for the property, with knowledge of building regulations and codes. Prepare, update, and implement the training matrix within the department. Prepare, update, and implement standard operating procedures within the department. Prepare department labor schedules based on hotel business demands. Supervise daily and weekly schedules. Design, maintain, and ensure the operation of the planned preventive maintenance program for the building, facilities, and equipment to maintain a high level of comfort and safety (GSI and ASI). Ensure work schedules are prioritized based on guest needs. Ensure Maximo is fully utilized by the team and hotel departments.
