Role Summary: The driver will be responsible for operating company vehicles in accordance with policies, procedures, and all applicable traffic laws, while supporting the efficient delivery of operational and administrative activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, roadworthy, properly fueled, and maintained according to the company's maintenance schedule.
Ensure all required vehicle tools and equipment are available when taking over and handing over the vehicle.
Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, vehicle defects, travel logs, and other required vehicle documents.
Complete and submit vehicle take-over and hand-over forms within the stipulated timelines.
Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, and unusual occurrences to the control room and the line manager.
Maintain regular communication with the control room and provide timely updates on the security situation while teams respond to alarm activations.
Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and safe driving practices at all times.
Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications:
Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of D+.
A valid Kenyan driving license.
A valid certificate of good conduct.
A defensive driving certificate.
Required Skills:
Good communication and report-writing skills.
A diploma in any field, especially in business management or a related discipline, will be an added advantage.
Prior experience in the security industry will be an added advantage.
Required Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of practical driving experience.
Minimum three (3) years of defensive driving experience.
